This delicate wine is perfumed with jasmine, honeysuckle and white rose accompanied by flavors of Asian pear, candied ginger and white chocolate.
The grapes for our 2009 Muscat came from a vineyard on Silverado Trail in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley just south of Black Stallion Winery and a vineyard in the Alexander Valley in Sonoma. The combination of these vineyards from the Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley is officially called North Coast. All of the grapes for the 2009 vintage were harvested at night to retain the crisp character of the fruit. The wine was fermented slowly in a stainless steel tank at a cool temperature to further preserve the elegant, bright fruit qualities.
Both sweet and crisp, this wine is a great complement to a multitude of desserts including raspberry crème brullee, cranberry walnut biscotti or drizzled over sweet Tuscan melon. It can also be enjoyed chilled at any time of the day.
