This is a dry, delicate yet complex Rosé reminiscent of a garden in Provence with aromas of wild strawberry, pink grapefruit, sweet English rose, orange honey, lavender and white chocolate.
Our 2009 Rosé was made with Syrah fruit from the Oak Knoll District and Coombsville area of Napa. This wine, inspired by the roses of Provence, is made by gently pressing whole clusters of fruit until just the right color is released without excess tannin or astringency. The fruit from these two small vineyards was combined and fermented slowly in stainless steel at a cool temperature to preserve the elegant fruit qualities.
Serve with a wide variety of fare ranging from cheese blintzes and smoked salmon to Thai shrimp, Mandarin fruit salad or with an assortment of aged cheeses.
