This full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas and flavors of blackberry, Italian plums, red currants and cranberries. The rich fruit is accented with both savory and baking spices of sarsaparilla, cassis cardamom, ginger, lavender, vanilla cream and dark chocolate. This wine with rich concentrated fruit has soft integrated tannins and a long finish.

The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon is the third release in our line-up of distinguished Cabernets. The grapes for the 2005 vintage came from the Oakville and Yountville districts. Our goal for this Cabernet Sauvignon was to create a wine with complex flavors and good structure. To achieve this in the 2005 vintage, we blended in a small amount of Malbec. This component contributes fruit and elegant tannins.
Serve with prime rib, fillet of lamb, roast duck or artisan cheeses.
