BUCEPHALUS
Alexander the Great rode a single horse into every battle: a majestic black stallion named Bucephalus (bu-sef-a-lus). In creating this wine, we honor the timeless spirit of beauty and strength. Carefully blended to display both intensity and elegance, this exceptional red wine is made in limited quantities from our best lots. We offer Bucephalus as the proprietary blend of our collection.

Blending small lots of merlot and cabernet sauvignon with syrah creates a complex wine with aromas of black currants, plum preserve and bittersweet chocolate that unfold to violets and tobacco, cedar and vanilla bean. Beautifully crafted, the palate has integrated minerality, elegant structure and bright acidity, with flavors of cherries, hazelnut, pepper and cassis which linger in the finish.

50% Merlot from Oakville
33% Cabernet Sauvignon from Calistoga and Coombsville
17% Syrah from Oak Knoll District
